Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

 

Finally having all the four TURTLES together, took me some time and nerves.
The are not yet available in Germany and i had to bricklink a lot.
When Donatello arrived the seller had put the wrong legs on him.
Instead of bright green, he had the normal green legs from one of the other characters.
Not too bad ´cause he is driving the van anyway ;)
I was not sure if i would have enough new olive green parts after
purchasing 79104 The Shellraiser Street Chase from a czech bricklink store and 70006 Cragger’s Command Ship, but as you can see it turned out fine.
The interior is accessible through the detachable roof.
All characters fit in there togehter with a good box supply of pizza.
The opening door mechanism works just perfect after some trial and error testings.
The stickers were hard to get since there is no good decal scan to find anywhere.
But Photoshop is always a good help with that.

All in all this is a model that was waiting on my wishlist for a long time
and i´m really happy with the outcome and even more happy with the olive green.
The normal green would have looked ugly.
Nice that TLG sometimes gets a good amount of new elements into a new color lineup.
